I should be hearing back any day now on an NSF proposal, and I can't help but click away at the status page. I know the site doesn't update every 30 sec, so why am I - like a rat - clicking away at something that still says "Pending"?

1. I am so relieved that I am not the only person that does this.
2. Your post worries me because I am a postdoc and I was hoping that I would grow out of it...does this ever stop?
I've only been bad about lately because I haven't gotten funding this year. I'm in a dry spell so I'm more anxious.
